There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to post these pictures at all except for the fact that I love Keiran's little body in this gown!    What's wrong with me?  :)

Our Halloween Costumes...

So this year Dan and I were Charlie Brown and the love of his life, The Little Red Haired Girl.  Awwww...  cute!

I have always called Dan my Charlie Brown- my ringtone for him is the Charlie Brown theme song!- so it was about time he dress up as Charlie for Halloween.  And if he was going to be Charlie, then I HAD to be his Little Red Haired Girl.  

I couldn't find the right kind of dress (the only ones they sell these days in the Halloween stores are super slutty.  Why is that?), so I sewed this one for myself (it's the first thing I've ever sewn for me!) and it turned out pretty cute.  

After we got all dolled up, we headed off to Dan's cousin's annual Halloween Bash.  It was SUPER fun and it was a blast hanging out with their friends and family.  Thanks for the fun night out, Mandy and Charlie!  You guys sure do know how to throw a fun party!

Rainy Day...

Scarlet was so excited to have a rainy day last week so she could put on her FAB rain boots, quilted vest and tote around her fun Minnie umbrella.  She looked adorable heading off to school!

Haunted Dinner Party...

Every year my Mom throws a Haunted Dinner Party and we look forward to it all year long.  

She sets the most SPECTACULAR table!!!  These pictures just don't do it justice.  It is just so fun to sit at the table and look at everything.  She's amazing!

This year we had a delish orange frothy punch to drink in our skull wine glasses... SO good!  Then we had a yummy corn chowder and bacon soup to start off.  For our main course we had Shepherd's Pie (made with real shepherds, of course!), peas (more commonly know as frog's eyeballs), cheesy cauliflower (also known as cheese covered brains) and brown sugar carrots (slaughtered jack-o-lantern!).  For dessert we had a spider web caramel cheesecake-- um, AMAZING!!!

After dinner we played Clue and Jack Skellington Yahtzee.  It was SUCH a fun day and we love Grammy for planning it for us.  Thanks Mom!!!

Address Pumpkin Stack...

These were so fun and easy to make!  I need to find a footed urn to put them in, but I wanted to get them up here before I forgot!

Directions for stacked address pumpkins:

1. Buy as many pumpkins as you have numbers in your address

2. Print out gothic numbers and cut them out- I used DIPLOMA font

3. Trace numbers on pumpkins with a pencil and then go over the pencil with a black sharpie

4. Fill in the numbers with black paint and a small sponge brush

5. Cut stems off of all the pumpkins EXCEPT the top pumpkin

6. Stick a dowel all the way through the bottom pumpkins up through the middle of the top pumpkin OR glue pumpkins together with a strong craft glue

7. Spray with clear top coat to preserve paint (I haven't done this yet... yikes!)

I think I'm going to be able to keep these out for Thanksgiving as long as I wrap some autumn vine around them... I think.  :)

After School Snack...

My kids LOVED these rice crispy eyeballs for their after school snack last week!  VERY creepy and very yummy.  Proof that all things fantastic don't have to be homemade!  These are from Cost Plus---my favorite Halloween spot this season!

BTW- how great is my Bride of Frankenstein serving plate?!!?!?!?!!  My mom gave this to me and I LOVE it!  :)
